I've been working on a series of environmentally-related posters, to be used for membership, sponsor development and fundraising drives. This one is in support of the huge project of restoring 51 miles of the Los Angeles River.
This project will include the planting of native trees and plants, creating much needed habitat for wildlife, as well as recreation for Angelenos. WHO KNEW you could kayak on the river? And fish?
The frog icon is a reference to the neighborhood right on the river called Frogtown which has been a main gathering place for diehard river restoration supporters. I believe it's called Frogtown because long ago, there must have been lots of frogs in the river that you could hear at night.
I've also done a product line including t-shirts, recycled shopping bags, mugs, gift cards etc.---all for fundraising and awareness raising.
